Special Wine Tasting to Support the L.L.S. Charity

and Student Visionary Madeleine Rizzo

We are so honored to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society charity for a young student visionary named Madeleine Rizzo. Maddie is the daughter of the late Meghan Rizzo who heroically fought blood cancer, and she is the granddaughter of Spring Lake resident & local historian Joseph Rizzo. In order to help Maddie Rizzo reach her goal as Student Visionary of the Year for the LLS, we will donate 20% of our sales of the wines featured at this special tasting.

The winery to be featured is named Métier by DeLille Cellars from the sun-soaked Columbia Valley of Washington State. This area provides ideal growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, with dramatic swings in temperature from day to night. This natural phenomenon, known as diurnal shift, offers cool nights that conserve acidity, and intense sunny days that infuse bold, ripe fruit flavors. It is from this foundation of distinctive fruit that Métier wines are meticulously crafted, acknowledging the very best of the hands that diligently work the vineyards and the cellar.

The 2021 Cabernet was a Top 100 Wine of the Year in 2023 and has flavors of bold dark fruits and charming notes of baking spice combine with a juicy midpalate and pleasantly firm, dry finish.

We will also pour the wildly delicious Sauvignon Blanc in addition to the Cab. Rated 91 from Jeb Dunnuck, 'the 2022 Métier Sauvignon Blanc is beautiful, with honeyed lime, white peach, and floral notes in its medium-bodied, balanced, elegant profile.' Vibrant, enticing, bright and silky on the palate, this wine balances generous fruit flavors on a lively structure and a lengthy finish.

Cheers! the Murray family
