Métier by DeLille Cellars is located in the sun-soaked Columbia Valley of Washington State. This area provides ideal growing conditions for Bordelais grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, with dramatic swings in temperature from day to night. This natural phenomenon, known as diurnal shift, offers cool nights that conserve acidity, and intense sunny days that infuse bold, ripe fruit flavors. It is from this foundation of distinctive fruit that Métier wines are meticulously crafted, acknowledging the very best of the hands that diligently work the vineyards and the cellar.
The wildly delicious Sauvignon Blanc is beautiful, with honeyed lime, white peach, and floral notes in its medium-bodied, balanced, elegant profile. Vibrant, enticing, bright and silky on the palate, this wine balances generous fruit flavors on a lively structure and a lengthy finish. This is fermented to sugar and malic acid dryness with lees stirring and 8% new oak.

DeLille 2022 Métier Sauvignon Blanc (Columbia Valley). Lime sorbet meets pear on the wine’s fruity nose, with flavors of a high-magnesium content mineral water on the rocks, with a lemon twist. A tiny bit of something sweet and tropical hovers in the background, perhaps pineapple or kiwi. The wine’s silky smooth texture makes for some easy sipping. Best Buy.
