Since the 18th century, the history of Masi is the story of a family and its vineyards in the Venetian regions. The name itself derives from "Vaio dei Masi", the small valley in Valpolicella acquired by the Boscaini family more than 200 years ago. Today, Sandro Boscaini, company President and Managing Director, runs Masi with the help of his daughter Alessandra, his son Raffaele and his brother Bruno. It is very much a family affair at Masi. The Masianco is delcious white wine, aromatic, dry yet fruity in style; a blend of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie with the Verduzzo grape, this is a 'SuperVenetian' white and the companion to the family's famous red wine, Campofiorin. Made using a unique blend of freshly-picked and semi-dried grapes. The richness of the nose and the aromas of Pinot Grigio delle Venezie grapes combine happily with the structure conferred by lightly dried, indigenous Verduzzo grapes. Look for citrus fruit, white flowers and honey in the nose with a palate of refreshing lemon, peach and apricot. Serve with antipasti, fish and grilled white meat.
