The Rivière family has lived in Saint-Emilion since 1875, and today operates a vineyard of 25 hectares near the ramparts of Saint-Émilion, mainly west of the town. Located in the heart of Saint Emilion, the Clos des Menuts has medieval cellars monoliths at constant temperature of 12 °.The privileged location of the vineyards of Clos Menuts combined with the complexity of the soil and subsoil of the vineyard contribute greatly to the development of a unique wine. Everything is done by hand here for the 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc to produce the highest possible quality grapes. Recently, Philippe Riviere appealed to Stéphane Derenoncourt, world-renowned oenologist for the vinification of Clos Menuts.

A touch of Cabernet Franc in this wine has brought out perfumes that contrast with the indulgent Merlot. The wine has weight, concentration and structure. Give it time and drink from 2022.
