El Cantor Rojo Rioja 2020

Cantor Rojo is a range of contemporary wines that reflect the personality of RIOJA ALAVESA, the highest and more premium sub-zone of the wine region of RIOJA D.O.Ca. Rioja Alavesa is one of the greatest terroirs in Spain, combining altitude, limestone soils and old vines with good maritime influence. The results are wines that display freshness and pure flavors combined with elegance and good potential for aging. 

Cantor Rojo is made from hand-picked 100% Tempranillo grapes. About 1/3 of the wine is aged in French and American barriques to add complexity and texture but no overt oak character. Showing pure and precise aromas of cherries, red berries and thyme. Light-bodied with beautiful balance between fresh acidity and firm tannins. A versatile and very satisfying drinking wine and great example of cool climate Tempranillo.
