Origin | United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley |
Bellande showcases the magic of Oregon Pinot Noir without breaking the bank. The grapes are from thoughtfully-farmed vineyards and the wine is made with minimal intervention to achieve a pure, unadulterated expression of fruit. Made of 100% Pinot Noir from organically farmed vineyards within the Willamette Valley, the majority of the blend for Bellande Pinot Noir is from Finnigan Hill Vineyard - a higher elevation site in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Other vineyard sources include Yamhill Springs Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, as well as Roshni and Cassin Vineyards in McMinnville AVA. Fermented with native yeasts and matured in neutral French oak.
We love a naturally-made Pinot Noir, and this one even has some biodynamic fruit blended into the final cuvée. The label has a little moon on it, a lunar cycle reference, and the woman winemaker for Bellande is renowned for her wines at Day Wines in Oregon.

Lovely, pure and bright with excellent ripeness coupled with freshness, this is exactly the style of American Pinot that we love. Made by a woman winemaker, Bellande is sourced from organically farmed vineyards. A terrific value as well.
