Quinta Do Freixo Tomato Jam

Quinta do Freixo is located in the heart of the Algarve region of Portugal, and is dedicated to cultivating local agriculture and livestock. The entire area where they are farming is certified in organic production. Produced without dyes or preservatives and with fruits and vegetables from their estates, these jams are recognized for their quality and refined taste around the world. We tasted and loved this tomato (tomate) jam on fine cheeses. It is a little sweet and a little savory, and has a looser, less sticky texture than many of the mass produced jams on the market. Excellent taste & quality - we approve!! Portugal crafts many high quality foods as well as wines, they are very worth seeking out. We even put this tomato jam in our greek yogurt at home, and of course on all of the fine cheeses we offer in our Food Market.
