A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 D'Arce wafts out of the glass with pretty notions of kirsch, dried roses, Black Forest cake and star anise, plus hints of fallen leaves and cinnamon stick. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers impressive freshness and elegance, featuring perfumed red and black fruits and a plush texture, finishing spicy.

Richly fruity, the tannins cushioned by the dark berry fruits, this wine is dense and succulent at the same time. Its 12 months in wood have smoothed the wrinkles and produced a wine that will give pleasure from 2023.
