Berthaut Epoisses

The Queen of all 'Stinky' cheeses, Epoisses is a soft, washed rind cow's milk fromage from the Cote-d'Or / Burgundy region of France. Covered with a beautiful orange rind (thanks to the Marc de Bourgogne it is washed with), it is superbly creamy and silky with a very intense aroma but a sweet and subtle flavor.  Fromagerie Berthaut is our absolute favorite producer of this epic cheese. 

Ingredients: Pasteurized full cream cow’s milk, Rennet, Calcium, Lactic and ripening ferments, Salt, Marc of Burgundy.
