Nastro d'Oro which means Golden Ribbon, produces this outstanding Amaro on the Amalfi Coast in Campania at the Arvero company. The local herbs are collected from all around this area including in the small mountains. The Sorrentino Peninsula is the specific region, and this Amaro is named for a local saint, San Costanzo. Herbs and essences are mixed in order to obtain a bitter taste that stimulates the palate and settles the stomach. Amaro is the 'after meal par excellence', chilled or room temperature, always present at the end of a fine Italian meal.

This has the most glorious herbal perfume from the moment you pour a glass. Mint, wild herbs, anise, flowers and more on the nose evolve into delicious, balanced, ripe flavors of these same aromas along with arugula, fennel and spices. Simply glorious to taste and a wonderful way to digest after dinner. The finish is moderately sweet, very smooth, and has a pleasingly bitter finish as a good Amaro should.
