The Carillon family has been making wine in Puligny Montrachet in Burgundy since the 16th century. The logo they use to this day has been in existence since then, it was found on an engraved stone in 1632 in a cave of the village. The wines of Carillon have been for years in the elite of the great white wines of Burgundy. Dubbed by the critics and by prestigious restaurants as high quality, Domaine Carillon produces white wines which are racy, elegant and fruity while embodying perfectly the terroir whose Chardonnays come from.

A discreet if perceptible application of wood sets off the white and yellow orchard fruit aromas that are laced with hints of resin and rosemary oil. There is excellent volume to the seductively textured and caressing medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a clean, agreeably dry and solidly lengthy finish that exhibits notably better depth. A quality Chassagne villages. 88-91
