Cyprien Arlaud took the reins of the domaine in 1997 with the simple and unwavering vision of making pure, benchmark Burgundy. He began the conversion of the estate to biodynamics (certified in 2014) and began using horses to plow domaine vineyards in order to keep the soils as healthy and alive as possible. He has top holdings in Morey St. Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Vosne-Romanée and his sister Bertille handles the horse plowing. |

There's more going on here and the aromatics are more involving. The palate is medium-bodied with a sorbet-fresh opening, lively and tensile with vivid red cherries and blackberry towards the energetic finish. This is excellent.' |

Highly regarded as the greatest estate in Chambolle Musigny, today the domaine is headed by its 20th generation - Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, the granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogüé. RATED 93 BURGHOUND : 'The intensely floral-suffused nose reveals notes of lavender, rose petal and lilac along with plenty of spice elements on the mostly dark berry fruit aromas.
