All of the wines from Reine Juliette are 100% estate grown and bottled, making this Picpoul de Pinet a singular expression of place and terroir, made with the same perfectionist detail of wines two or three times its price. We tasted and loved this white made of 100% Picpoul Blanc planted to red clay soils along edge of the Bassin de Thau. The fruit is 100% destemmed and sorted, and then it is made from a blend of free run and pneumatic press juice. Fermentation in stainless steel settled with cold. Look for classic flavors of lemon and saline, white flower blossoms and stones. Literally translated, Picpoul means "stings the lip,” referring to the grape's naturally high acidity. This 2022 also has luscious ripeness and medium body in a dry style with mouth watering acidity.

Made of 100% handpicked organic Cabernet Franc, from vines of 30 years old on average, grown in siliceous alluvial sand, the Joguet Rosé has ripe yet tangy red fruits, especially cranberry, wild raspberry and plums on the nose and in the mouth. Essence of river stones and hints of licorice pick up as the wine opens up. This is a really beautiful rendition of dry Rosé in general, and a benchmark of the Loire Valley.

The Giraudon family has been farming and making wine in Chitry for centuries, and the current proprietor, Marcel Giraudon, follows very traditional methods in his work. Their vineyards are on hillsides of Kimmeridgian chalky marl as one finds in Grand Cru Chablis. The Pinot Noir in this terroir offers a wine of great freshness and purity. It is light in color, wonderfully aromatic, fruity and refreshing. The grapes are 85% de-stalked and the wine receives a pre-fermentation maceration of a couple of days.
