Domaine Roulot Bourgogne Blanc 2015
Run today by Jean-Marc Roulot, Jean-Marc practices organic farming; in the cellar he uses 15% new oak, mainly from the Allier forest, which integrates seamlessly into his wines’ silken, harmonious structures. Speaking about his dislike of over-stirring the lees to obtain richness, Jean-Marc says: “I prefer to lose a little volume and power on the palate in order to obtain the ligne droite and the purity”. This purity and directness is evident in every wine Roulot produces, from its standout Bourgogne Blanc to his Meursault-Perrieres. This Bourgogne Blanc is made from clay and limestone soils, 1/2 in Puligny-Montrachet and 1/2 in Meursault. Imported by Kermit Lynch.
