Since first working in her family's Mendocino vineyards, Kathryn Hall dreamed of a place to showcase fine wines alongside expressive art and masterful architecture. In 2005 Kathryn and Craig Hall built a state-of-the-art winery in the hills of Rutherford where they achieved her dream. Hall's estate vineyards encompass over 500 acres of classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. As winegrowers, the Halls have a strong respect for the environment and a commitment to cutting-edge vineyard technology to yield the highest quality grapes.
Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of special lots from each of their five estate vineyards along with fruit from premiere Napa Valley vineyard partners. Their goal is to produce a dense, supple Cabernet Sauvignon that consistently over-delivers. The 2019 is expressive with aromas of dark cocoa, red berry, and dried herbs. The palate is lush and fruit-forward with hints of spice and leather. The tannin is polished-fully integrated and balanced through the lengthy finish.
Blend: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot

The appellation 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is another winner. Ripe red and black fruits, dried flowers, and spice all define the bouquet, and it's up-front, soft, balanced, and just delicious. Drink bottles over the coming decade.

The winery's largest bottling, approximately 38,000 cases, is the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley. Primarily from the Hardester Ranch in Pope Valley, with other major contributions from St. Helena, Soda Canyon and Glass Mountain, it's a medium to full-bodied effort, with bold flavors of cherries, cassis and cedar. It's easy, but not soft, nicely firm, with a long, silky-textured finish.

Leads with a light cedar edge, followed quickly by relatively open-knit red currant and damson plum fruit flavors. Shows a light savory edge on the finish. Drink now through 2030. 41,000 cases made.
