This is a dry, pure, unoaked Sauvignon Blanc from the Central Coast of California. Look for fresh, clean aromas of lemons, passion fruit and apricot skin with more of the same in the mouth. This is not 'green' nor herbal and tasted extra juicy with goat's milk cheese and sliced honey crisp apple. Ideal for serving with seafood, salads, lemony dishes, and goat cheeses with fresh fruits. Tortoise Creek owners Mel and Janie Master are long time Sauvignon Blanc aficionado's, and serve this wine at home frequently. Mel and Janie simply have two of the best palates in the wine business for both wine and food. Plus, they have dedicated the last 25+ years to providing us with reasonably priced, honest and delicious wines from California and the South of France with their Tortoise Creek wines as well as from Italy with Tiamo.

A range of squeezed citrus, from tangerine to grapefruit, shows on the nose of this bottling alongside apple rinds, struck stone and green banana. There is compelling tension to the sip, where kiwi flavors are rounded but crisp-a very reliable bottling each vintage.
