Mauro Molino Barbera d'Alba 2016
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
Known for producing high quality Piemontese wines especially the noble Barolo, Mauro Molino first bottled his own wines in 1985, and now works with both his son Matteo and daughter Martina. This serious Barbera d'Alba is made from the Molino family's proprietary vineyards in Annunziata La Morra and Guarene. Maceration on the skins in temperature controlled steel tanks for 6 days, then alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. Only 3750 cases were produced. It is a delicious red exuding deep red and black fruit flavors and hints of incense and wood along with balanced acidity and tannins that soften with food. Serve with roasted meats, flavorful pasta dishes, fine cheeses, pizza and more Italian/Mediterranean fare.
Wine SpectatorThis is lithe and harmonious, its blackberry and black cherry flavors building to a lingering finish. Accents of violet and spice add interest. Drink now. 3,750 cases made.
