Cakebread harvests its Sauvignon Blanc during the cool California evenings to maintain the freshness of the grape and balance of the wine. They also blend up to 10% Sémillon with the Sauvignon Blanc for a touch of added richness and ripeness, and age in partial oak/partial tank for crispness. Sourced from their estate vineyards in Rutherford, their newer vineyards in Calistoga and Carneros regions, as well as several outstanding vineyards in St. Helena, their Sauvignon Blanc expresses the epitome of California Sauvignon Blanc. It is crisp, full-bodied and complex with distinctive varietal character. Serve with white fish dishes, or before dinner with fine Goat's milk cheeses.
