Hestan Vineyards Meyer Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Hestan Vineyards is a family-owned estate with 56 low-yielding acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec planted on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley as well as a small 2-1/2 acre vineyard of Chardonnay. The estate’s unique mix of soils, slopes, exposures, rootstocks, clones and varietals contribute depth and complexity, while Vineyard Manager Angel Camarena’s meticulously customized pruning, leaf pulling, irrigation and harvest protocol maximizes the varietal character and vineyard signature of each block. The Meyer wines, named for winery owner Stanley Cheng’s global cookware company, represent the epitome of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon quality and value in a second label from the Hestan Vineyards estate. "The nose has aromas of sweet chocolate, black cherry and elements of sweet pipe tobacco, cigar and cedar. With pretty vanilla oak and some licorice notes, the palate has an exotic, expanding finish." -Winemaker Jeff Gaffner

James SucklingPretty blackcurrants and blueberries on the nose. Full body, round and silky tannins and a gorgeous, flavorful finish with lots of dark fruit and intensity in the aftertaste.
