A tribute to Justus, the patron saint of Val di Cornia’s capital, the town of Suvereto, and to Tua Rita’s first vineyard, which was planted at Notri. Giusto di Notri is a classic Bordeaux blend and the winery's signature wine produced since 1994. The 2012 is made of  60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and was aged for 18 months in new and once-used French oak barriques. The special label for the 2012 of Giusto di Notri was designed for the 20th Anniversary of Giusto and only 2300 cases were produced. Serve with steaks, grilled meats, hearty pasta dishes and medium-aged cheeses.

Tua Rita is located in Suvereto, a small medieval town in the Tuscan province of Livorno, on the coast and south of Bolgheri. Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio Bisti bought the property in 1984 and planted it with Cabernet and Merlot. With only 36 acres under vine and yields being kept to a minimum, the estate's total annual production is just about 3,400 cases. The winery released its first vintage in 1992, and soon began receiving praise for its rich, full-bodied wines. In just five years, its Redigaffi, made of 100% Merlot, had achieved cult-like status, receiving outstanding ratings from the world's most prestigious wine critics and publications. Robert M. Parker Jr. called the 1999 Redigaffi 'as close to perfection as a wine can get.' The next year, he gave the 2000 Redigaffi a perfect 100 point score..

James SucklingGorgeous aromas of spices, from chili powder to dried thyme, plus dark fruits such as currants and berries. Full body, fine tannins and layers of fruit and flavor. Very attractive now but even better in two or three years. This commemorates the 20th anniversary of this wine. Balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

VinousA dark, brooding wine, the 2012 Giusto di Notri presents a compelling array of dark stone fruits, grilled herbs, smoke, tobacco and menthol. The power of Suvereto and these Bordeaux varieties are both super-expressive in a virile, imposing wine loaded with personality and gorgeous, totally resonant fruit. This is a terrific showing...

Wine AdvocateThe 2012 Giusto di Notri is an IGT Toscana blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It opens with rich, impenetrable concentration and luminous ruby highlights that shine bright against the inner darkness of this beautiful wine. Dark fruit, leather, spice, moist chewing tobacco and dark chocolate lift from the glass. The wine shows firm structure with silky tannins that render a polished texture on the finish.
