Stephane Aviron Fleurie Domaine De La Madrière 2014

SKU 11459

Stéphane Aviron’s Fleurie is made from an old vine hillside vineyard from holdings owned by his wife. Exposure on these steep slopes face south and southeast with soils of clay and limestone. The Gamay grapes are handpicked and sorted upon arrival at the winery. The must is macerated in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 12-15 days and then aged for 12-14 months in a combination of new and one-or-two-year old barriques. The wine is made using 100% wild yeasts and exhibits the quintessential Fleurie style. Ripe, gorgeously feminine, silky and pure, look for a wonderful perfume of berries and flowers, followed by strawberry, raspberry, plum, mineral and dried flower flavors. Every year we taste the new vintage of Beaujolais wines with Stéphane Aviron to choose our new selections. This is a beauty!

Wine SpectatorTangy blackberry, cherry and peach notes take center stage in this charming, light-bodied red. Underpinned by white pepper and licorice accents, this reveals hot stone and herbal flavors on the crisp finish. Drink now. 200 cases imported.
