Made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc from grapes harvested in Chile's Casablanca and Curico Valleys, this is clean, fresh and an absolute pleasure to drink. Hints of herbs and lemons in the nose lead to a palate of melons, citrus and guava. Aged in 100% stainless steel, the first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc from Montes was 1999. A perfect aperitif wine or with zingy seafood dishes and/or salads. Winemaker/owner Aurelio Montes was named Winemaker of the Year by Wine Spectator on two seperate occasions. He is completely dedicated to producing the finest wines that Chile has to offer, from everyday offerings such as the Classic Series wines, to high end wines like Purple Angel and Alpha M.

Wine SpectatorRedolent of nectarine and red peach, this fruity style is plush and open-textured. Creamy notes linger on the spicy finish, showing hints of snap pea and lemongrass. Drink now. 5,500 cases imported.

Wine EnthusiastCool-climate pyrazinic aromas are punchy and feline. This feels good but weaker and more dilute than in most years. Briny, pickled citrus flavors follow the nose, while this ends lean and green but solid enough.
