Lail Vineyards was founded in 1995 by fourth generation vintner Robin Daniel Lail, and her daughters Erin and Shannon. Each year the family continues its passionate quest to produce the very finest wines in the world from the blend of their ingredients – the land, the seasons, the winemaking team and the spirit of the generations who led the way. The 2011 J. Daniel is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels; 93% new.
Wine AdvocateMade in a much lighter style, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon J. Daniel Cuvee is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in French oak. It offers up notes of cedarwood, tobacco leaf, underbrush and red and black currants. Medium-bodied with soft tannin and low acidity, it will need to be drunk over the next 7-8 years.
