'This beautiful estate, which sits on the top of Spring Mountain straddling both the Napa and Sonoma County lines, continues to turn out a super-impressive lineup of wines.' Wine Advocate The Cabernet Sauvignon is usually 80-85% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot), with 70-75% of the fruit hails from the Napa side of the vineyard, and 25-30% from the Sonoma side, and typically aged 20-24 months in 40% new French oak, produced in a 5000-6000 case lot. Look for blackberry, chocolate, licorice and cassis in the nose. The palate usually has tons of fruit with a full-bodied, voluptuously textured and opulent style.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Pride comes from close to equal parts Napa and Sonoma and checks in as 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and the balance Merlot. Blackcurrants, smoked earth, chocolate, and tobacco leaf notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, rounded, nicely concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon that has tons of fruit and texture, yet stays balanced. It has just a hint of oak but is already charming and delicious. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years.

A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot coming from Napa Valley (54%) and Sonoma County (46%), the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet color with a hint of purple and is enticingly scented of chocolate covered cherries, warm mulberries, cassis and raspberry pie with touches of cedar chest, red roses, wood smoke and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with fragrant earth and black fruit layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long with a minty kick. 5,945 cases were made.

This contains 6% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot, the fruit from both Napa and Sonoma. Tight-grained tannins contribute a thick grippy midpalate of weight and texture before chocolate waves of dark cherry are complemented by dried herb and sage.
