Founded in 1916, Babich is a family owned business which continues to strive to produce the best quality wine New Zealand has to offer. At 20 years of age in 1916, Josip Babich made his first New Zealand wine - under the name Babich Brothers. With a legacy of solid farming practices in place and a desire to produce only the best quality of wine - he created the foundations for what is Babich Wines today. Three generations of wine lovers, who all want to deliver to the consumer the best possible product, representing the best possible value, have produced wine at Babich. This award winning Sauvignon Bla comes from the high quality, carefully selected wine growing land in New Zealand.
Look for a bright bouquet, with passion fruit and pineapple aromas. The palate is powerful and rich. Flavors of gooseberry and pear join the tropical fruit following on from the nose. The wine is weighty and has a lingering and crisp finish. It works well with a white meat dish. Great with oysters or a green salad, too.
