Stephane Aviron Beaujolais Villages 2016
Made by Beaujolais native Stephane Aviron, this tasty organic red is made from 50+ year old vines which give extraordinary concentration of fruit and a true essence of the terroir of the region. The wine shows itself to be full of complexity and charm at the same time, and is suitable in any and all settings where you would normally serve a fine Pinot Noir, although it is made of 100% Gamay.
Winemaker/owner Stephane Aviron produces traditional, terroir-driven, distinctive wines from all of the important cru's. His family has hailed from the Beaujolais region for many generations, and winegrowing is clearly in his blood. We have enjoyed this wine many times at home, with friends and family. Never overpowering, beautifully aromatic, and perfectly polished, it is a Bottle Shop favorite and 2015 is a spectacular vintage.
