Chateau Tour Pibran Pauillac 2012

SKU 12426

Château Pibran is located on one of the most beautiful hills of Pauillac, surrounded by such illustrious neighbors as Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Pontet Canet. The experience of the winemaking team at Château Pichon Baron, through the AXA company ownership, is applied to this estate, to produce excellent quality Pauillac at a fraction of the cost of its neighbors. Tour Pibran is the second label of the estate, and is made of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. Aged in barrels for 12 months, 50% one year barrels and 50% second year barrels so as not to impart an overly oaky style. Look for a deep, dark color with aromas of black fruits, wood and licorice. Fleshy and juicy on the palate with good volume and ripe tannins, this will please a full range of palates. Balanced and pure, serve this Bordeaux beauty with red meats, cornish hen, duck and roasted pork dishes.

Wine EnthusiastThis is the second wine of Château Pibran, whose vineyard is situated close to those of the the first growths of Mouton and Lafite. Structured and dense, this is a solid, powerful wine, packed with juicy black currant fruits and generous tannins. Give this wine until 2018 before drinking.
