Louis Jadot has been producing fine wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay since 1859. This here is a modern expression of Pouilly-Fuissé showing vibrant Chardonnay fruit flavors with notes of melon, citrus and minerals, gently touched with oak, ending in a fresh, silky finish. Maison Louis Jadot has long maintained agreements with several small quality-driven growers exclusively in the communes of Pouilly and Fuissé. The final blend combines oak-fermented and steel-fermented lots which creates a particularly complex Pouilly-Fuissé, with greater fullness than is usually found in wines of this appellation. Serve with shellfish, white fish, salads, cheeses or on its own as an aperitif.
Wine AdvocateThe 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé (Maison Louis Jadot) opens in the glass with aromas of pear, green apple, citrus oil and warm pastry. Medium to full-bodied, delicately textural and fleshy, with racy acids and a nicely defined finish, it has turned out well.
