Aged for well over 30 years, if you want to know what X.O. is really all about, try this… so refined and complex, you don't feel the heat so much but yes, this is potent. Look for Asian spices and mandarine flavors. We visited this traditional, family-owned and managed Cognac house with our dad years ago, and learned so much. The Jean Fillioux family has its roots at La Pouyade in the Cognac region of France for five generations. Jean Fillioux is one of the last family owned & managed houses in the region, dedicated to producing a high quality, consistently authentic range of Cognacs from century-old traditions. This XO Cognac is best in class from the region and a true value for hand crafted brandy.

The opening whiffs pick up luscious aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon and white raisins; further aeration introduces traces of hard cheese, oak/vanillin, dried fruit, black pepper and almond paste. At palate entry the early-on taste includes nuts and butter cream; the viscous texture and nut butter/oaky/maple-like flavor is highlighted at midpalate. Finishes regally without any alcohol heat and plenty of lip-smacking sautéed almond. In a word, scrumptious. 90-95
