Sonoma-Cutrer is a testament to the people, practices, and land all working in unison to uphold the time-honored tradition of winemaking. The winery marries together Burgundian traditions with Californian ingenuity and an appreciation for Sonoma Valley's terroir and sunny climate.
Made of 100% Chardonnay with 100% Malolactic fermentation and aged in oak for 8 months , cool, clear golden-green, free-run juice was settled naturally in tanks for a few days before fermenting in French oak barrels and stainless steel. The wine was then aged sur-lie in French oak. The result is a wave of aromas of nectarine, stone fruit, white peach and oak spice accented by vanilla, toasted nuts, butterscotch, light caramel and cinnamon spice. This wine has the distinctive Sonoma-Cutrer balance between elegance and richness for a medium-bodied, mouth-filling wine. The creamy texture of this wine offers flavors of ripe pear and peach that is balanced with a nice gentle acidity. Serve with poultry, shellfish and sauteed buttery vegetables. This Chardonnay also makes a great match with Delice de Bourgogne or Brie cheeses.

There's good cut to the apple pastry and pear tart flavors, which feature a creamy texture. Rich and open-textured midpalate, with a finish of angel food cake. Drink now through 2024. 100,000 cases made.
