Chalk Hill Estate Bottled Chardonnay 2014

SKU 10174

All the wines at Chalk Hill are estate bottled, and each of their 60 vineyard blocks are sustainably farmed and harvested by hand individually. Opulent and toasty, Chalk Hill Russian River Chardonnay is one of California's standard bearers for this French-born variety. Look for notes of tropical fruit, citrus, caramel, hazelnut, apricot and pear. A refined butter quality comes from aging in French oak. Serve with crab, scallops, fish and roasted chicken. It is the perfect accompaniment to rich butter or cream sauces, as well as creamy cheeses such as Brie, Delice de Bourgogne and Fromage d'Affinois.

Wine EnthusiastGolden in color, this wine opens with a decadent nose of baked apple and raisin bread, and the sweetness of vanilla oak. Full bodied and round on the palate, it balances the richness and concentration with lengthy acidity on the finish.
