Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc 2017
This Sauvignon Blanc is from the Marlborough region of New Zealand located on the northeastern tip of the South Island. Marlborough is marked by its cool weather as well as its shallow stony soils that aid drainage and limit fertility. Cupcake's Sauvignon Blanc was harvested and gently crushed. After a cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine underwent a long extended rest sur lies to embolden the richness in the body and softness on the mid palate, complimenting the natural zestiness and acidic structure of these Marlborough grapes. Look for hints of grapefruit, gooseberry, and citrus with a fruity, zingy palate. Pair with white fishes, shellfish, salads or on its own.
