In Camigliano, the organic management of the vineyards since 2014 has taught the Ghezzi family to be very present in the vineyard and timely in the management of phytopathologies; the great agronomic commitment in spring 2023 allowed the estate to obtain a healthy Sangiovese, without having repercussions from a quantitative point of view.
In the cellar the macerations were shorter than in previous years, but the analytical parameters and the first tastings comforted the estate in obtaining long-lived and extremely typical wines. The aromas are very intact and in the mouth the wines present themselves with great fragrance and personality. It is important to underline that it was important, and not at all obvious, in this 2023, to have healthy grapes with the right level of maturity; the Ghezzi's believe that this vintage can lead to wines that are not "rich" and full of structure, but vertical and refined, with the right amount of enjoyment already in the first years...
HARVEST: : middle of September
GRAPE: 100% sangiovese grosso
VINIFICATION: Soft extraction, fermentation in stainless steel vats at 25°-26°C
AGEING: 6 months in oak barrels, 6 months in the bottle
PRODUCTION: 45.000 bottles
ANALYSIS: Alcohol (%): 14,00
DESCRIPTION: this wine is very respectful of the vintage and clearly recalls the typicality of Sangiovese di Montalcino. In fact, the notes of ripe fruit and flowers (such as violet) interface with the savory sensations in a perfect balance; the tannins are smooth and pleasantly accompany the length of the finish.
GASTRONOMIC ACCOMPANIMENTS: it goes well with pork, chicken, light red meat dishes, mature cheeses and classic pasta dishes
Ruby red color. The nose is very fruity, of red ripe fruits. It has a good acidity and smooth texture, well balanced between tannin and alcohol. The after taste is fruity and mineral, with a good persistence.

Graphite, cherry, strawberry and Tuscan scrub flavors mark this fresh red. A light astringency graces the lingering finish. Drink now through 2031. 4,000 cases made, 700 cases imported.

A bright and generous Rosso with notes of ripe red cherries, strawberry ice cream and a whiff of anchovies. Super juicy on the palate, with a light body, tight chalky tannins and a fresh finish. From organically grown grapes.
