Durigutti Malbec 2023
Familia Durigutti wines are made by brothers Hector and Pablo Durigutti. Hector first became known for his work with Altos Las Hormigas. He was one of the founding partners and the winery’s first winemaker. For the past few years he has been exporting wines to the USA made under his own label. The vineyards have been under organic practices for many years and will soon be certified as such. Only native yeasts are used and filtration is kept to a minimum.
Durigutti's Malbec "Clásico" represents what the brothers do best: combine elegance with rusticity. While this is in many ways due to the two differing backgrounds the brothers bring to the table, it is also largely due to the fruit. High altitude fruit from La Consulta adds structure, depth, and power, while bright fruit from Vistalba adds brightness and supple texture. Fermented by native yeast fermentation and aged in new American oak for twelve months. Unfined and unfiltered. A terrific everyday drinker.

Notes of plums and blackberries with hints of licorice, chocolate and dried herbs. Juicy and spicy with a medium to full body, fine tannins and a succulent finish.
