In the early 1980's, Carles Sumarroca relocated to the Penedés of Spain, where he bought the Molí Coloma country estate in Subirats and the Heretat Sabartés country estate in Banyeres del Penedés. Multiple generations of the Sumarroca family before him had dedicated their lives to vineyards, and he wanted to continue this familial passion in Penedés.

Then in 1999, he bought the symbolic country estate of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, which was renamed Finca Sumarroca to focus on high quality sparkling Cava wines and still wines made of local indigenous grapes. Sumarroca creates wines and cava with enormous personality and character, some of the best you can find in Penedés. His farming is organic and sustainable, and this sparkling Cava is positively pure and beautiful.

Crafted from high altitude vineyards in Penedès at the Sumarroca family estate for 20+ years, this Brut Rosé made of 100% Pinot Noir has a gorgeous perfume of red fruits, minerals and flowers with a very elegant, polished and balanced palate. This is dry, but not too dry with perfect ripeness of fruit. Aged 15+ months giving a Champagne-like sophistication. We tasted and loved this on Easter with the whole family. A chic aperitif on its own or with seafood, caviar, roasted chicken, paella and more.

Pale onion-pink colored sparkling with aromas of chopped apples, peaches and white strawberries, with some biscuits too. It’s fresh and juicy with a medium body, soft bubbles and easy, relatively dry finish. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink now.
