Situated very close to Saint-Julien proper, the Haut-Médoc appellation is home to some of Bordeaux's greatest values. The great Château Beychevelle St. Julien vineyard is located just 5 km north of their Haut-Médoc vineyard in Cussac-Fort-Médoc. This area benefits from a cooler climate bringing a lot of freshness and fruity character to this wine. The 12 hectares of the vineyard are composed exclusively of the two grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vinified and aged in a separate winery, it is produced with the same level of care as Château Beychevelle and Amiral de Beychevelle.
Made of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, look for seductive notes of blackcurrant, red fruits and spices on the nose. Powerful and fruity on the palate, with a spicy finish and a nice roundness. Brulières de Beychevelle likes to reveal itself in its youth, but is still very capable of aging 5-10 years depending on the structure of the vintage. This 2019 will drink well until 2030+.

Coming from the incredible team at Château Beychevelle, the 2019 Brulières De Beychevelle has a big nose of plums, blueberries, violets, and graphite. It brings the fruit and is medium to full-bodied, has a round, sexy, opulent mouthfeel, and a good finish. It's drinking nicely today, yet I can't imagine it not keeping for 7-8 years.
