Edelweiss Grüner Veltliner 2023

Edelweiss is made by Lisa Weinwurm, vinified together with her husband Georg. Their winery is situated in the wine growing heart of NE Austria – the famous Weinviertel, where they are focused on making wines with a distinct flavor profile. Founded in 1950, the estate handpicks all the grapes with an annual production of 12,500 cases. 

A wine of finesse and elegance, Edelweiss is named for an alpine mountain flower grown in Austria, Switzerland & Germany at high altitudes of 5,900 to 9,800 feet in rocky limestone. This flower itself is a symbol of the wild and rustic beauty of the Alpine mountains in Northern Europe. We tasted and loved the ripe kiwi, green apple, lychee and mineral flavors of this fresh, unoaked, round, delightful dry white. And at this price, these Small Batch Liters really over-deliver!
