Williams Selyem Promissio Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

Smoky, with bursts of sage and celery root, this is a wine that is unabashedly earthy, spicy, bold and juicy at its core. Light-bodied and delicate, the palate shows beautiful floral undertones. This is a complex and beguiling bottling that should hold well for years to come.

The 2015 Pinot Noir Terra de Promissio Vineyard is medium ruby-purple in color and quite earthy/herbal to begin, with notes of damp soil, fungi and truffles over a core of warm cranberries and wild strawberries. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is very finely built and refreshing with ripe, soft tannins and a nice, long, savory finish.

Sweet dark cherry, tobacco, earthiness, new leather and licorice are some of the notes that give the 2015 Pinot Noir Terra De Promissio Vineyard its distinctly savory personality. The interplay of ripe 2015 fruit and some of the more floral/earthy nuances that develop in the glass make for a highly appealing Pinot.
