Founded in 1974, Cantine Bruni has become a prominent property in the Maremma, on the coast of Tuscany. In this historic countryside, vines have been cultivated since the Etruscans, and Azienda Bruni cultivates its own vineyards, marrying the native varietals of the region with the Maremma’s ideal microclimate of favorable soil and climate. Always seeking to elevate the quality of its wines, the Bruni family seeks to embody the traditions and potential of this unique land. Before 'Super Tuscans' were created in the Maremma, it was the Morellino di Scansano that the area was known for.
For this DOCG, it must be made of at least 85% Sangiovese, which this is, along with 10% Syrah and 5% Alicante. The nose is intense, with fresh hints of red fruits and wild berries all wrapped in a vanilla note. The palate is rich, smooth and elegant with a long, cherry-infused finish with well integrated tannins.

Bright and showing some power, this red packs cherry, raspberry, iron and tobacco flavors into a rich frame before turning earthy on the finish, where a line of light tannins resides. Drink now through 2030. 9,000 cases made, 3,000 cases imported.
