Château-de-Campuget Tradition Rosé 2021

Château de Campuget, located in Costiéres de Nîmes in the south of France, is a beautiful wine property dating back to 1640. The soil is typical for the region, composed of ‘gress’, an accumulation of rounded pebbles that have been rolled by many overflows of the Rhône river for thousands of years. The roots are forced to find water deep into the lower layers of clay soils and produce complex authentic wines. The Campuget property is managed by Franck-Lin Dalle, named after one of his dad’s heroes, Benjamin Franklin. Since 1942, Campuget’s sole aim has been to produce Rhône Valley Grands Vins, respecting the heritage of the soil and the place. The round Rhône stones, the Southern sun, the Mistral winds and the Syrah and Grenache grapes are the basic elements which form the identity of Campuget.

In 2019, Campuget was certified as Haute Valeur Environmentale, which officially recognizes the environmental performace of winegrowers in France, including biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategies, managed fertilizer use and water resource management. 

Campuget Tradition Rosé IGP Gard has a lovely appearance with a light and fresh pink color followed by aromas and flavors of raspberries and strawberries, salty stones, herbs and flowers.  Dry and refreshing, a perfect French Rosé to serve as an aperitif, with fresh salads or around a barbecue. And on a side note, although jeans are often associated with North America and the Levi's brand, the material they are made from - denim - actually originates from Nîmes, the home of Campuget.
