'Domaine Drouhin is the Oregon outpost of Burgundy’s Maison Joseph Drouhin. While most of the estate vineyards are in the Dundee Hills, Roserock Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills has become increasingly key to the winery’s success since the Drouhins purchased the 122-acre vineyard in 2013. Véronique Boss-Drouhin, who oversees winemaking operations in both Burgundy and Oregon, blended a selection from the vineyard’s 35 individual blocks, which she fermented separately. Eola-Amity Pinot Noirs are known for their powerful structure, but Boss-Drouhin strives to accentuate the house’s graceful style. This 2022 aged in French oak barrels (20 percent of which were new) for 10 months.'
RoseRock is the Oregon passion project of the Drouhin family, of Domaine Drouhin Oregon and Maison Joseph Drouhin fame. The winemaking roots of this family date back to 1880 in the Burgundy region of France. A century later, Maison Joseph Drouhin ventured out of Beaune with the establishment of Domaine Drouhin Oregon, in the Willamette Valley’s Dundee Hills. Today, the Drouhin family’s commitment to exploring and expressing the terroirs of Oregon has blossomed at RoseRock in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Sustainable and organic agriculture advocate Philippe Drouhin continues the family's history as RoseRock's Vineyard Manager along with his sister, winemaker Véronique Boss-Drouhin, a graduate in oenology whose post-graduate work focused on Pinot Noir. She is also a master at crafting refined Chardonnay.
The Roserock vineyard, purchased in 2013, has an exceptional terroir, marked by volcanic soils, cooler temperatures, and an ideal elevation range. Roserock reflects the singular Drouhin approach, celebrating patience and nuance, elegance and complexity, and above all, finesse.
Roserock Pinot Noir is a cuvée selection from the estate’s 35 blocks, which are handpicked, sorted and individually fermented. While Pinot Noirs from the Eola-Amity Hills are typically known for their structure and power, Véronique Drouhin emphasizes Roserock’s elegant and refined qualities, making for a delicious and age worthy cuvée.

Roserock Pinot Noir has been a stand-out in the Oregon Pinot Noir field since its creation by the Drouhin family almost a decade ago. Starting with its deep garnet color with flashes of bright ruby, the 2023 opens with juicy, intense cherry and blackcurrant aromas with hints of thyme and sage. The palate is swept by velvety dark fruits supported by structured tannins that will give this wine a long life. As the glass aerates, this richness is balanced by elegant ripe plum, crushed berries like marionberry and strawberry, pomegranate and spice flavors. This Roserock is another great example of what can done in Oregon. Exceptional especially in the price category.

Impeccably structured yet sleekly elegant, with raspberry and blueberry flavors accented by savory tea, stony mineral and dusky spice notes as this gathers tension toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2033.

Very juicy and plush, saturated with rose petal and berry aromas, then drenched in black cherry and fresh raspberry flavors. Medium-bodied with light tannins and a broad, almost jammy mouthfeel. So lush and delicious. Drink now.
