From one of our absolute favorite domaines in Burgundy, the wines at Comte Armand are made from organic/biodynamic vines, 100% de-stemmed with whole-grape fermentation, 20-30% new oak; the reds are unfined, unfiltered and the whites are fined and lightly filtered. Comte Armand is very famous for illustrious Pommard wines yet also produce excellent reds in Volnay and Auxey-Duresses. Winemaker Paul Zinetti is very talented and has respected the deeply rooted, complex vines at this estate.
Auxey-Duresses is a village in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy producing wines from the Pinot Noir grape varieties and very little Chardonnay for whites. It has had its own communal appellation since 1937. Auxey produces rich, structured reds and the wines can generally be drunk quite young or age easily for up to 10 years.

The 2019 Auxey-Duresses Village has a lovely, ripe bouquet with opulent red cherries, dark plums and violet petal aromas that leap from the glass. The silky, round palate is balanced with a succulent, velvety mouthfeel, refined acidity with a sexy finish. This will drink well for at least 10 years. Enjoy 2022-2029+.
