Johnson Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Johnson Family is a quality-driven brand of California wines with an excellent price/quality ratio. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is from certified sustainable vineyards in the Alexander Valley AVA, an area in Sonoma known for producing great Cabernet. This area, north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, enjoys a growing season characterized by warm days and cool nights, conditions well-suited for producing lush reds, characterized by healthy acidity and silky tannins. This wine was made utilizing only the most exacting standards; low yields, minimal handling, sustainable and organic farming, French oak aging and minimal fining and filtration. 

Concentrated and pure, this Cab has ripe flavors of cherry and plum as well as anise and bell pepper, with savory notes of cocoa and mocha. Full-bodied and rich on the palate with polished, integrated tannins and excellent structure. Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon by Alison Crowe, who has had a long experience making quality wines in California including stints at Bonny Doon and Chalone Vineyards.
