Founded in 1720 in Beaune, Maison Champy is considered the oldest winery in Burgundy. Over the centuries, great men like Gustave Eiffel (builder of the Eiffel Tower) and Louis Pasteur cross paths and influence Champy, and the winery wins numerous gold medals and is served all over the globe from Moscow to St. Louis. Fast forward to 2005 and the owners begin the conversion of their vineyards to organic viticulture.
Bright color, yellow gold with golden highlights. Strong aromatic intensity. The nose is rich and well opened, with notes of exotic fruits and white flowers, notes of caramel and vanilla on a background of toasted bread. Fresh on the palate, an opulent body, smooth and round. At the finish, a good aromatic persistence of the fruit, united with a good balance between the acidity and the roundness.
