Lovely new staff find from the Loire Valley of France, J. de Villebois is made by a quality-driven family whose ancestors began in France, moved to the Netherlands, then circled back centuries later to France. Made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on selected terroirs, you’ll discover a fresh, ripe, delicious style of Pinot Noir. Made from de-classified Sancerre Pinot Noir, the nose opens up to cherry, raspberry and rose petal aromas. The palate is silky yet clean with a good texture and a finish of crunchy fruit. A very accessible Pinot Noir, this also fleshes out with salmon, white & red meats, and fine cheeses.

A fluid, simple and fruit-driven pinot noir with aromas of strawberries, forest berries and warm spices on the nose. Light- to medium-bodied with a linear development. Nice fruit and a short finish. Drink now.

This gives a light impression, but also shows enough substance, with notes of violet and hibiscus tea. Easy to drink and moderately long.
