In 1993, three of Napa Valley’s most storied winemakers, Helen Turley, Bob Levy and Randy Dunn, gathered around the blending table with winery founder, Jayson Pahlmeyer. They mused about the results of the exceptional 1992 vintage and pondered over what to do with a few unused barrels from their Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red Blend. They immediately recognized the potential for another extraordinary wine that would complement the quality of Pahlmeyer. Jayson by Pahlmeyer follows the tradition of Pahlmeyer. Every vintage is meticulously made with the attention to detail for which Pahlmeyer is known and trusted.
Jayson's 2018 Pinot Noir is rich with a juicy texture. Aromas of root beer and candied marasca cherries lead to subtle notes of cinnamon, vanilla bean and custard. The mouthfeel is concentrated and expansive mid-palate. A youthful acidity brightens the palate, then finishes velvety smooth.
