From a small domaine founded in 1797, the Lamarche family produces luxurious wines from low-yielding vines in the best terroirs of Vosne-Romanée and the surrounding areas. Serve with Beef Bourgogne, baby lamb chops, wild rice with dried red fruits and/or with fine French cheeses.

The Hautes Côtes wines from Lamarche are increasingly coming into their own. This pale, delicate, refreshing Pinot Noir comes from a 1.53-hectare parcel close to Vosne-Romanée at 380 metres of altitude and has impressive freshness and lift. Spice and tobacco notes from 30% whole bunches add extra complexity. Drinking Window 2021 - 2026.

The 2019 Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits has a little more intensity than the Bourgogne Rouge, offering light strawberry and crushed red cherry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic tannins, but like the Bourgogne Rouge, I am simply seeking more fruite and substance on the finish.
