This bourbon contains a mashbill of Kentucky corn, Minnesota rye, and North Dakota malted barley. It spent over eighteen years in the barrel on the first three floors of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Warehouses C, K, M, and Q. Fewer than fifty barrels make up this batch, highlighted by huge notes of rich cocoa, orange peel, and pepper.

The bouquet slowly emerges, offering delicately sweet scents of buttered popcorn, light toffee, maple and lanolin. The corn base taste of the palate entry is balanced by a sap-like flavor; at midpalate sweet, oaky, maple-like and grainy tastes meld into a seamless taste profile. Finish is elegant, semisweet, intensely oaky, resiny and pineapple-like.
