Established in 1835, Sorelle Nurzia continues its long tradition of creating deliciously decadent Italian desserts. Traditionally, torrone was a hard nougat candy until Sorelle Nurzia changed that nearly two centuries ago by introducing soft torrone like this one. With a long history spanning almost 180 years, the packaging stays true to an old fashion aesthetic. Dense nougat is incased in long rectangular paper boxes adorned with master paintings and gold embossed lettering. The design's formal type in congruent with Romanticism art, aims to create a fantasy world for its consumers making them feel like they just stepped back in time.
This Sorelle Nurzia bar of soft white nougat (torrone) is filled with hazelnuts. Made in Bazzano, Italy, in the region of Abruzzi. Sorelle Nurzia was established in 1835 by Gennaro Nurzia. Gennaro's grandson Ulisse, revolutionized the company's offerings when he introduced soft torrone. Up until that point, torrone was only sold as hard candy. This torrone is exceptional!
