Cecchi La Mora Maremma Toscana 2015
The region of Maremma in Tuscany is known for its warm, sun drenched vineyards and the sandy, feldspathic quartz soils. At their best, Maremma Toscana DOC wines possess a Mediterranean soul, and a fruity character drawing on the combination of the native Sangiovese grape, with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Maremma region is loved for its food, sunshine, culture and beauty, and especially its wines. Serve with grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses.
In 2018 Cecchi celebrated its 125th anniversary. Dedicated to bringing out the best of the Chianti Classico terroir since 1893, the Cecchi family is today headed by Cesare and Andrea, the fourth generation of the family. In addition to their fame in Chianti, the family produces wine in San Gimignano, with Vernaccia whites, and the Maremma, with its Morellino and red blends such as this one.
